Description
Detroit Skyline At Dawn – Fine Art Print
I arrived in Windsor after a long drive from my home in Scarborough. After recovering from the drive down, my sister Wendy and I decided to take a look at the Detroit River. Seeing this view for the first time had an impact on me. I knew the weather was good for the following day and resolved to show up then at dawn. Upon arriving at the scene I determined that I could easily get strong reflections in the main towers and water by moving a couple of hundred yards. A nice added touch was a speedboat which I caught as it sped through the scene. How did I know where to place the camera for these reflections? A physical law: the angle of incidence (from the sun in this case) equals the angle of reflection off of specular (smooth) objects.
