Wild Asters

-- Shot September 7, 2017 --

Shot today on one of my frequent walks along the Lake Ontario shore between Highland Creek and the Rouge River. Wild asters herald the last days of summer and are part of the wonderful variety of ever-changing wildflowers that have grown up in this area since it was created in David Miller's time as the mayor of Toronto. The bridge over Highland Creek and this waterfront path to the mouth of the Rouge have been a great addition to the "east end" and are heavily used.
